Sometimes I color outside the lines, but the lines refuse to expand.
I occasionally aspire to color inside the lines, but that’s a bit like an eagle learning to swim.
Actually, I just searched for “can eagles swim?” and it turns out, they can.
I think too much. Sometimes I write my thoughts down.
I have butchered my life and sewn it back together multiple times. I have learned a few things in the process.
I write books and go on insane adventures in my mind. I dream of a better world, a world without barriers. Where everyone always wins and no one loses ever. I do my best to step up and play my part.
Words are my sword. This sword does not kill. This sword heals, transforms, and illuminates.
Illumination does not destroy darkness. It fills it. Reveals it. Completes it.
Welcome to the world of Andrew effing Hicks. No need to leave your shoes at the door. Unless you want to. Whatever.
In addition to grade A navel-pondering via my blog, I write books, provide writer coaching services, do talks, and overall merely conspire for the actualization of a new world that works for everyone, everywhere, at all times.
Some lovely things people have said about me:

“You’re amazing. I’m busy. Really busy. But I had to take a peek. Your piece, “The meaning of life (a reason for all the pain)” is gob-smackingly good. I couldn’t stop reading. Did I mention I’m busy? Then I read your bio. You’re screwing up my morning. Damn, you’re good.” Peter Fritz, Midlife Tribe
