When you get excited about a cause and communicate that excitement to those around you, you might be tested by other people’s cynicism and ideological differences.
Do not be discouraged by this. This is an opportunity to build your capacity to persevere, and just as importantly, to understand other people’s perspectives.
We won’t make the world better by sectioning ourselves off from others. Let us be bridge-builders, not isolationists.
Connect with that which differs from you, without succumbing to it.
Stand up for your truth, and let your truth protect and nourish the truth of others.
People may stand against you, but if you stand for them in return, their hostility is purely a masturabatory endeavor.
When rain falls on your parade, proceed to parade joyfully in the rain.
